Organization Introduction

Arunodaya Public Welfare Council is a registered non-profit, humanitarian, non-governmental and non-political organization established under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. Since our founding, we have been dedicated to improving the quality of life for rural and tribal communities across Andhra Pradesh.

We believe in inclusive growth and work tirelessly irrespective of caste, religion, gender or social background. Our programs are designed to create lasting, sustainable change through community participation and empowerment.

From humble beginnings to a growing impact across communities.

2010

Foundation

Arunodaya Public Welfare Council was established by a group of dedicated social workers committed to serving rural and tribal communities in Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh.

2012

Education Initiatives Launched

Started informal education centers in remote villages to provide learning opportunities for children who lacked access to formal schooling.

2014

Health Programs Began

Launched community health awareness programs and organized the first major health camp serving over 500 villagers.

2016

Women Empowerment Programs

Established women self-help groups across multiple villages, providing skill training and micro-finance support for financial independence.

2018

Environmental Initiatives

Launched large-scale tree plantation drives and environmental awareness campaigns across the district.

2020

COVID-19 Relief Work

Provided essential supplies, food distribution and healthcare support to vulnerable communities during the pandemic.

2023

Expanded Reach

Extended programs to over 80 villages with comprehensive initiatives in education, health, livelihood and community development.

Our Objectives

Aims & Objectives

The key objectives for which Arunodaya Public Welfare Council is established, as registered under the Societies Registration Act:

To plan, undertake and implement projects to improve the literacy, livelihood, health and leadership development and to evaluate the same from time to time in the rural community within the areas.

To act as a link between the Government and people so that the programmes and assistance reach to those to whom they are intended.

To promote welfare activities connected with child, women and handicapped.

To cooperate and coordinate with government and other voluntary organizations in implementing the rural development programmes.

To start educational and technical institutions and hostels connected therewith and to promote games, sports and cultural activities.

To organize and promote Sishu Vihars, Balasanghams, Mahila and Youth clubs, etc.

To organize and develop effective community health service in the entire area of operation.

To raise funds and accept donations (in cash or kind), subscriptions and property of any kind from the people.

To set up and organize training centers for training of youth, men, women, volunteers, social workers etc.

To encourage and assist other voluntary organizations and individuals engaged in the field of rural development.

To publish books and journals to carry out the objectives of the association and to distribute the same on a no-profit and no-loss basis.

To enter into arrangements or agreements with government, municipal, local authorities or Mandal Office for obtaining propriety rights, concessions and privileges for carrying out the objectives of the society.

To start libraries for the diffusion of knowledge on the above subjects.

To undertake housing and drinking water programmes for the needy.

To promote environmental upgradation programmes.

To undertake programmes for agriculture, waste land development and optimum land, water use.

To promote cottage and small scale industries for income generating and creation of employment in rural areas.

To create awareness, motivate women for SHGs, DWCRA Groups, Women Co-operative Dairy Societies and all multipurpose Societies.

To take care and protect animals and birds for upgradation of the environment for balancing eco-system.

To take and run old age homes and orphanage along with the consideration of disabled and destitute persons.

To undertake and promote integrated development programmes for sustainable development of poor community.

To conduct and participate in such other programmes and activities in both rural and urban areas as may be in furtherance of aims and objectives of the society to be determined by the society from time to time.
